The Orchard restaurant & bar is situated within the historic setting of Fairfield Hall and surrounded by the picturesque Bedfordshire countryside.
With its Victorian architecture and relaxed atmosphere the restaurant enhances the experience of members and spa guests of the adjoining health club, as well as being an exciting place to dine for the local community and those just passing by.
From morning through to evening, there is a menu to suit everyone; a substantial offering for both gluten free and vegan patrons, children’s options and an outside dining area where even four-legged friends can frequent.
Steven opened The Orchard in 2012 after establishing his career as a chef. Starting from the very bottom progressing to Head Chef, Steve worked at many hospitality establishments and restaurants in the Hertfordshire area, as well as a stint in Gordon Ramsey’s Claridges, London, before deciding he wanted to own his own restaurant.
Harriet spent the last 6 years working for one of the UKs largest theatre and hospitality companies, running private functions and corporate hospitality events, as well as managing the marketing for a large live music & entertainment venue.
Together the husband and wife team now own The Orchard Fairfield Ltd and manage two restaurant sites – whilst still being mum and dad to their children. They have a passion for good food, a love of people and a drive for success.
